I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years.  I specialize in private lessons to help individuals accomplish their goals through yoga and relaxation.  All private lessons are individually designed with the student's goals in mind.  Each student is provided with a personal plan that includes ideas on how they can accomplish their goals through yoga, meditation, breathing techniques and other methods to achieve success.

What is Yoga?
Yoga is a scientific, time-tested, 6,000 year-old system of self improvement.  The practice of yoga is designed to lead the student toward an ever-increasing knowledge of his/herself and the needs of the body and mind in order to achieve and maintain good physical and mental health and spiritual harmony.

Hatha yoga is the yoga of physical well-being and is intended to rejuvenate the body and mind while bringing the body into proper balance. I often focus on this form of yoga in my sessions to attend to all aspects of the body such as the: endocrine system, vascular system, nervous system and musculature.  

Yoga is not a stamina based excercise, it is acheived through gentle stretching, rhythmic breathing and deep relaxation. Hatha Yoga exercises encourage concentration and perseverance and when practiced on a regular basis a student will experience increased relaxation, normalized blood pressure, minor back pain relief, and a steadied metabolism.
